New Mexico was added to the Eighth District, in 1964 and thus the present configuration: Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico, South Dakota and North Dakota.

The Nu Rho Graduate Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., was chatered on April 1, 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. During this time the Grand Basileus Brother Cary D. Jacobs and 8^th District Representative, Brother Harvey McDaniel are in their respective offices.

New Mexico welcomed the birth of four more chapters after Nu Rho chapter was chartered in 1964.
